As Scooby would say, "Rut Roh!" After just four months of marriage it looks like there's trouble in paradise for newlyweds Diane Lane and Josh Brolin. Brolin, former Goonies star and stepson to Barbra Streisand, was arrested in the wee hours Sunday morning after Diane Lane called police following a fight. L.A. police took Brolin into custody and he was charged with domestic battery before being released on $20,000 bail. "There was a call placed to the police about five minutes to three in the morning on Sunday. Police arrived and took Mr. Brolin to the West Hollywood police station where he was booked [on the misdemeanor]," said Los Angles City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan. It should be noted that it is procedure to book the spouse in domestic violence complaints, even when there is no outward sign of violence.

Lane, 39, is said to be very embarassed by the incident and the couple is already back together. The brunette bombshell was nominated for an Oscar in 2002 for playing the part of a cheating wife in the film Unfaithful. She wasn't shy about showing skin in that film, and has also shown the goods in both Night Moves in the 80's and more recently in Man on the Moon.

"There was a misunderstanding at their home. Diane called the police. Josh ended up being arrested for the lowest-end misdemeanor charge of domestic battery," the couple's publicist, Kelly Bush said in a statement. "Diane did not want to press charges and asked them not to arrest him, but in cases involving the possibility of any physical contact, the police have to arrest first, ask questions later. They are home together and are embarrassed the matter went this far.
